We think it's a perfect place for staying in Unzen. Loved the room assigned on arrival and the way it was setup. Hotel's staff is superb.

We really enjoyed our time at this place - the staff were friendly, and the drinks were great! 🥂 For dinner, we checked out Kinugasa Shokudo, which was just a few minutes away from there.

From the warm welcome to the attentive service at dinner and breakfast, we felt truly taken care of. The room itself was spacious and immaculately clean, with a mesmerizing view that we could admire from the floor-to-ceiling windows. The in-room amenities were top-notch, providing enhanced comfort and convenience. The private hot springs pool/bath that could be reserved added an extra touch of luxury to our stay, with an impressive array of high-quality toiletries. We were also impressed with the well-stocked store, showcasing local products.

The lack of WiFi in the room was inconvenient for us, but it wasn't a deal-breaker. Also, the drive to the hotel was a bit challenging due to winding mountain roads. However, the stunning views made up for the difficulty of the drive. we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and authentic Japanese experience.

If you're looking for a relaxing holiday in a beautiful national park surrounded by walking trails, this is the place for you. the garden is breathtaking, and the onsen, whether indoors or outdoors, is a must-try. the staff make sure that you are well taken care of, whether it is dinner set up or luggage collection. Breakfast is a delightful spread of fresh vegetables and homemade dressings. If you want to surprise someone, enquire with the staff about a romantic getaway. Although the building is a bit dated, everything is kept clean. Despite the sulfur-based onsen smell that can be disturbing for some, it's still an experience worth experiencing.
